Description

We are looking for a Executive Manager/Senior Manager to develop technology strategy and research within our Business and Technology Group. Our group focuses on driving industry adoption of frontier technologies, such as AI/Data, 5G and Trust Technologies, and work with NRF, IHL and RI on upstream research and translation at scale. 


The successful candidate is an independent and self motivated strategic thinker who enjoys developing strategies and plans that will encourage the adoption frontier technologies to the digital economy. 


The candidate will be analysing technology and industry developments to identify opportunities, create programmes, and assess policy and governance implications. 


The candidate will also be working on measuring the effectiveness of programmes and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse technology and industry developments to propose programmes to increase adoption of frontier technologies, such as AI/Data, 5G, for the Digital Economy.
  • Work with stakeholders from various business and specialist teams within IMDA, institutes of higher learning, other government agencies and industry players to align on strategies and initiatives. 
  • Measure and track the effectiveness of KPIs around initiatives, programmes, digitalisation and technology adoption.
  • Management reporting of performance to stakeholders, including tracking of performance vis-a-vis targets committed in masterplans. 
  • Facilitate and bring together IMDA’s strategies, focus, and various programmes into a cohesive narrative for preparation of budget speeches and update to stakeholders.


Requirements

  • Background with at least 8 years working experience in relevant fields such as strategy development, corporate planning or research and analysis.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of technology and business trends.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with ability to prepare analysis and assessments in clear and concise manner. 
  • Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Good project and time management skills to see through implementation of projects and plans. 
  • Candidates with knowledge of data-driven techniques on business analysis has an advantage.

Position will commensurate with experience.
