Qualification/ Skillset Requirements :

  • A strong track record in leading procurement /contract management; proven experience and capability in managing a broad range of contracts encompassing Customer Experience and Technology
  • Proven ability to manage high value agreements ranging $5 mil - $ 50 mil +.
  • You will have exceptional communication skills and ability to effectively influence individuals at all levels internally and externally. You will be a strong negotiator that enables you to drive contract negotiations.
  • A strategic and forward thinker that anticipates our future business needs
  • Analytical thinking underpinned by strong commercial acumen that enables you to process an enormous amount of information and make strong commercially viable decisions.
  • You will build and maintain professional and effective relationships with both internal and external partners through consistent engagement, transparent communication and clear articulation of expectations around performance outcomes.
  • A degree in Commerce or Accounting coupled with exposure to contract law, and working with Offshore BPO’s will be highly regarded.

Job Description:

As Associate Director – Partnerships and Performance you will be responsible for developing strategic partnerships and be the primary interface with our external partners both domestically and internationally. Additionally your role will involve the ongoing management, performance & governance of all partner contracts across Service including productivity, workforce and technology services. You will drive Service-wide performance outcomes by clear articulation of our business needs and expectations, strategy, targets and objectives.   

Primary Role :

Our Service division encompasses a team of approximately 3800  people spread across sites in Australia and outsourced partner operations in India and the Philippines that manage more than 20 million customer interactions annually, delivering and supporting telephony, broadband internet, television, mobile and wireless services.  The Associate Director – Partnership & Performance is a key role in Service that will establish an outcome based performance framework and in doing so you will; 

  • Create and manage a consolidated contract management function, driving a robust and consistent framework around management of contract changes and performance of partners. This involves contract obligations, invoicing and commercial activities, negotiation of contracts, contract extensions, leading the approval processes associated with contracts and related activities.
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators/measures, people initiatives (coaching, attrition, culture), operational insights and macro-level performance management.
  • Establish & maintain a contractual governance & performance reporting framework that ensures contracts are efficient and meet business needs
  • Be the lead for our people and coaching capability directly within our partner organisations, and working with Optus HR, for our onshore workforce, ensuring alignment and a focus on creating a high-performing Service business & culture
