Description

Job Description:

40 hours of flight time, of which 20 are with your student/s and 10 are solo flights. More specifically, you'll need at least 3 hours of cross-country training with your student/s, including 3 hours of night flying, one cross-country that is over 100 nautical miles, 10 takeoffs and landings, and 3 hours of basic instrument training. On top of that, you're required to have 10 hours of solo flying, which includes 5 hours of a solo cross-country flight, and one cross-country that is over 150 nautical miles with landings at three different airports.

Qualification/ Skillset Requirements :

Flight instructor applicants must be at least 18 years old, be able to read, speak, write and understand English, and hold either a commercial pilot certificate or an airline transport pilot (ATP) certificate. You'll need at least a 3rd class medical to act as pilot-in-command of an aircraft while instructing, but in fact, a flight instructor is not required to have a current medical certificate if they aren't acting as pilot in command or performing duties of a required crew member.
